Empowering Communities. Changing Lives.

Greetings from the Grand Rapids Urban League! We are pleased to announce our 2012 Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Corporate Breakfast, Monday, January 16, 2012, at the Steelcase Town Hall, just east of Eastern Avenue on 44th Street, at 7:30 a.m. Give your support online or by mailing in our printable form (PDF).
This event, now in its 12th year, was created to not only remember the legacy of Dr. King, but also to celebrate the spirit of diversity in the Grand Rapids community, and to honor the sacrifices of men and women from past generations to current generations who stood and continue to stand for inclusion and equality. While we remember Dr. King and his teachings, and as we continue to labor and live in sharing that legacy, we are still reminded that work needs to be done to bring “the Dream” to fruition.
Help us accomplish the dream by attending this great event. The 2012 celebration is a tribute to business development and job creation, particularly small businesses in Grand Rapids and Kent County. We truly hope you come and join us. In addition to enjoying a delicious breakfast, meet, greet, network, and be inspired by your colleagues and new acquaintances that embody the spirit of Dr. King and the Urban League. Plus, be there for the League’s Drum Major for Justice Award presentation.
We look forward to your presence and invite your support of this important event which makes the work of the Grand Rapids Urban League possible. For 69 years, we have been working with businesses and government to advance racial justice in our area. Be a part of keeping Dr. King’s dream alive by participating in this event.
